‘One student paddled every four minutes’

 One child was spanked every four minutes in Alabama schools, a survey for the year ending 2014 revealed. Nearly 19,000 students were paddled in schools in the state, and this count was just the number of individual students and not the number who were paddled more than once.

The Birmingham News ran a special report on corporal punishment in schools in 2016 and said this put Alabama among the leaders in United States for paddling.
