ReplyDeleteThis is a really fascinating scene. I wonder whether it is derived from Frederic Raphael own experience or is it his fantasy? There is an undercurrent of suppressed excitement in Poppy's demeanor; clearly she is sexually stimulated by the thought of a caning, even offering herself to Treasure if he can orchestrate another punishment session that she can listen to, or perhaps secretly watch. And she wants him to bring a cane with him next time - is it to be used on her bottom, or his?
