Boys) is sometimes called a comedy; but
if there are some smiles in it there are also plenty of grim moments.
An important subplot involves Brother
Constance who is a bully and a bit of a sadist. He is over-fond of corporal
punishment. The film comes in at number 8 in my own personal all-time
favourite school corporal punishment scenes
from mainstream movies.
One dramatic scene involves Brother
Constance, five senior students, a heavy leather stap and a gymnasium.
