Solid support to bring back the cane
A local weekly newspaper in
Berkshire, England had the bright idea to send two ‘work experience’
schoolchildren onto the streets to find out if people wanted the cane
reintroduced in schools. This was in 1996, 10 years after abolition.
They found a majority in favour and
more than four people in ten had themselves been caned at school.
As
published in the Wokingham Times, 5 December 1996.

Once again the Al teacher is standing in the wrong place to cane the Al boy, who should not be looking at the 'camera' but bending down, touching the floor. l do wonder if an Al boy actually feels an Al caning?
ReplyDeleteIf l were the teacher l would take off my jacket and waistcoat first. He is holding a vicious looking cane.
