Cane almost disappears from private schools

 

Only three of 2,500 independent schools in Britian still used corporal punishment five years after it had been banned in state school.

But, one headmaster at a school where the cane was still used, said, ‘It was widely used at a time when the youth of this country were much better behaved than they are now.’
