Vicar wants more caning in schools

 

Corporal punishment taught us it was a painful and dangerous business to flout authority and led to a healthy respect for those in positions of authority. – a vicar writes in 1967 – far from abolishing corporal punishment I feel it could with profit be used rather more frequently in schools today.
