Call to end ‘barbaric’ public beatings
An anti-caning pressure group in the UK hit out at an education authority for allowing canings in front of classmates.

I along with many others in the 60s was bent over in front of our class and got the slipper on my arse it was one of those things you miss behave in class you get called to the front of the class for up to 6 with a well worn gym slipper hurt like fuck but did me no harm whatever as it was used at home as well. The cane was also used in the same way.Happy but very painful days with no complaints from anyone.
