British-Discipline: Two break bounds

 

The headmaster is going off to lunch when Matthews and Cooper arrive at his study. It is enough to give him indigestion but he cannot wait – naughty boys must be dealt with immediately. Matthews, a senior boy, had been previously been forced back into short trousers because of his juvenile behaviour.

The two have been seen in the town together, out of bounds during the school break

“I will be as lenient with you as is called for,” the headmaster says. Which means not that lenient at all as the cane soon comes out and Matthews goes over the desk. We must wait to another time to find out what happens to Cooper.
