TV Drama: Schulmeister Spitzart
Schulmeister Spitzbart is a German television movie from 1989. Provincial teacher Matthias Spitzbart dreams of an
ideal school. When, by a fortunate coincidence, he becomes director of the
Arlesheim grammar school in 1831, he wants to put his ideas about changing the
educational system into practice. Spitzbart's missionary zeal soon blossoms
into something memorable and punishments are abolished.
