Comic: Nickel

 

Nickel is a 14-year-old schoolboy with a difference. The first time he appears in the Hornet comic he walks into the classroom …. through a closed door.

And that’s probably all we need to know about this character: he has super strength.

There was a reason he was dubbed, “The boy they couldn’t cane.”

Nickel appeared in the Hornet which was published by D. C. Thomson from September 1963 to February 1976, after which it was merged with the Hotspur.
