Comic: Greedy Pigg

 

Greedy Pigg was the name given to the schoolmaster who was always in search of something to eat. The strip appeared in the Dandy from 1965 to 1971 and again from 1978 to 1984, but it doesn’t seem to stuck in the memory like some other Dandy characters (think Desperate Dan, Winker Watson, or Korky the Cat).

Interestingly, it was the schoolmaster who ended up getting the cane which must have delighted readers everywhere.
