Movie: Lovers Courageous
In 1919
London, Willie Smith gets into mischief and is called out for having ‘too much
imagination,’ in the almost forgotten 1932 American film, Lovers Courageous.
Willie
cuts school by forging a letter to the headmaster, claiming his father is ill
and he is needed at home. his father is angry and says he doesn't want a son
who is ‘different from other boys.’ Willie arrives home after being out all day
and his father spanks him with a belt.
