Movie: Distant Bridges
Distant
Bridges is a film set in 1915 during the First World War when
two pals from school enlist to join the Army to fight for King and Country,
although they are under age.
At school, like all the children, they are subjected
to much “jingoism” from the headmaster and strict discipline. When Arthur is
found to be (innocently) involved with a girl he is subjected to a severe
caning. “Six strokes of the cane for breaking school rules, and six for the
Empire.”
The 1998 film directed by Dusty Rhodes has all but
disappeared, but copies of a DVD are sometimes available on eBay.

Excellent Clip indeed of school discipline involving the cane. One of the best I’ve actually seen from a movie that’s not strictly just dedicated to Spanking/Discipline as it’s theme.
ReplyDeleteThat's one hell of a caning.
