A headmaster devised a new punishment plan
where pupils were rewarded if they behaved well and punished if they did not.
They got a star for good work and a stripe for bad behaviour. Four stripes
meant a caning.

ReplyDelete617 Squadron "The Dambusters" is now based at RAF Marham, but in 1953 Flight Lt Corduroy would probably have been involved with the B-29 Superfortress aircraft on loan to the RAF.
