Extract: The spy of the fourth form

Here’s an extract from the Gem in 1925. It has all the elements of a schoolboy story of the time. A ferocious, bullying housemaster, a group of boys who won’t put up with it, and the frequent use of cane and birch. This extract called The spy of the Fourth Form, written by Martin Clifford (better known as Frank Richards) is from the Gem, issue 0893, 21 March 1925, and is on the Friardale website here.
