‘Get rid of teachers who cane’
Teachers who insist on using corporal
punishment should be replaced by those who do not, a prominent anti-caning
campaigner in Ireland said.
Physician Dr Fergus Cahill was a leader in
the fight to get corporal punishment banned.

sent the Irish Minister of Education a book called The Art of Caning saying it
demonstrated ‘caning is an exercise in sexuality.’
