Countless reasons for getting the cane
Gross misuse of a javelin, wicked
behaviour on public transport and riding a bicycle furiously were some of the
misdeeds that got schoolboys the cane at one South Wales (UK) school in the
1960s.
Here, a retired headmaster is bemused by
some entries in the official punishment book of an unnamed secondary school in
the county of Gwent.

ReplyDeleteGood position, but fingers touching the floor would have made a tighter target. Nice ginger hair with forelock. But why is his tormentor standing in front of him with his cane in his left hand and blessing him with his right?
ReplyDeleteI always find it interesting when punishment book offences and comments are described as sometimes they can be quite bizarre or imaginative as can some of the apparent offences.
