New South Wales bans cane
New South Wales, Australia, banned the
cane in government schools in 1987 even though surveys suggested that a
majority of pupils wanted it kept. However, as this article points out there were
alternative methods of punishment available.

You need to increase the size of this picture first. Then you see a tall fair haired boy, maybe aged 15, about to get caned by a teacher wearing a gown. He should take that off first, and his waistcoat and tie. If is to bend over the desk it must be cleared of books first. He has nicely creased, beige coloured trousers on and will look really fine in a bent over position.
