Tom Sawyer, the classic novel by Mark Twain, has been made into many movies and television series. A Czechoslovakian version, Dobrodružstvà Toma Sawyera, made in 1967 makes Number 12 in my personal Top 20 favourite school CP scenes from TV drama
The basic story behind this clip is well
known. It’s where Tom gets a caning for
something his sweetheart Becky did.
Tom bends over in front of the class and
it does look like the actor playing Tom is rather enjoying himself.

Great clip, thank you! The spirit of the episode in the fantastic novel is there, pitch-perfect. It's original & makes perfect sense that Tom would do his best to publicly laugh away the hurt & embarrassment even as the teacher's cane is whipping into his presented bottom. Very different take than the other film versions I've seen & much appreciated!
