Memories: Teachers paddled kids because they didn’t like them
People shouldn’t look back at schooldays with nostalgia and harken for the days of corporal punishment. Many teachers paddled kids because they simply didn’t like them and punishments were often unfair, says William Raspberry, a syndicated newspaper columnist in the US.
