‘Left-wing trendies’ lashed over cane ban

 

A former local education boss hit out at ‘socialists’ and ‘left-wing trendies’  who wanted to ban the cane in Cheshire schools in 1982. ‘Over the past 15 years, the moral and behavioural standards have fallen dramatically. It is due to the Left Wing philosophy now being expounded,’ Ken Maynard said.
