Schoolboys mutiny against prefects and slipper

A group of boys at a public (elite) school in Portsmouth started a campaign to stop prefects being allowed to slipper them. They wanted to get 10,000 signatures to a petition. “We are absolutely fed-up with the way prefects beat boys for stupid offences,” a ring-leader said.
