Cane in ‘constant use’ in schools, abolitionists report

The Society of Teachers Opposed to Physical Punishment (STOPP) reported in 1977 that more than 1,000 secondary pupils were caned in a year and at some schools the cane was used “at a rate of two or three times a day and includes punishment of sixth-formers.”

As reported in the Coventry Evening Telegraph, 30 December 1977.

  1. A very nice picture. Maybe he should have his hands in the seat, and the cane should cover both buttocks. Is he in shorts? A nice picture, l wish it were a video!

    1. But who is caning him? You would expect that he told him to bend right over the chair and put his hands in the seat. Then he could aim at a tauter bottom with maybe greater effect.
