TV Drama: Ten Pound Poms
Ten Pound Poms is a British BBC TV series, launched in 2023,
that follows a group of Britons (often then referred to
as Poms in Australia and New Zealand) departing
post-war Britain in 1956 for Australia, having been promised better prospects
for just £10. The group soon learn life in Australia is not as expected and
they struggle to adapt to their new life.
