Memories: Mass Canings recalled
This correspondent to a local newspaper in
1982 recalls mass canings at his school, when children skipped classes to watch
the local hunt. He also recounts a case where a headmaster caned about 450 boys
when no one would own up to writing graffiti on walls. We heard about that case
here,
but at the time it was reported only 200 boys were caned.
