Couldn’t ride bike after spanking
A court denied a schoolboy damages after
he was strapped by the school principal. The boy’s father said he had to pedal

He missed some good television programmes? Poor little darling.
ReplyDeleteRather than missing TV programmes I was more concerned with whether my father was aware of my being caned as that might mean a hearty dose of his slipper when he got home from work.
DeleteI had to smile at the comment 'he had to pedal home in a standing position'. I can remember cycling home like that several times after a sound caning but in my case they definitely weren't light strokes and there was not the slightest sympathy from anyone either.TR
ReplyDeleteHis offense being a Paper wad shooter, found it amusing that was a crime for so many of us and over 20 years after he got strapped for it I got caned for shooting chewed paper pellets out of a biro tube (and in the UK) A sudden fad which would resurface with new years until the school cracked down on it again. Many of us remember standing on the bus or walking the bike home, but rare for anyone to advise their parents they had been beaten especially as everyone at time now knew he been strapped and 70 years later the paper story still gets people know!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up I had horses. This reminds me of one time I got a good hiding from my step dad with his thick leather belt. I couldn't ride for days after.
