Teachers quit as discipline worsens
Many teachers in Ireland were leaving the
profession due to stress ‘unable to cope with the constant brick wall they face
when disciplining children.’
This had increased since the cane was
banned in schools, but perhaps, this writer in 2003 suggests, the parents had
to take responsibility for their children.
