Cane produced in court
A cane, a punishment book and coloured
photographs were produced in court when a headmaster was charged with
assaulting a pupil who truanted. The court heard that the boy’s mother had
given him a hiding the night before he was caned and it was impossible to tell
who was responsible for his bruises.
