Favourite TV Drama Clips: 15
Welcome back to my personal Top 20 favourite school CP scenes from TV drama. At number 15 is a clip that here represents an entire
series of programmes.
Unleash Your Dreams (sometimes translated as Realize Your Dreams) is a
South Korean television series that first aired on EBS [Education Broadcasting System] in 1999 and ran
for 52 episodes over a year. It was repeated several times.
According to the producers it dealt with
problems at high school including the use of corporal punishment, examination
stress and sexual harassment.
Beatings, sometimes severe with bats, are common features of episodes and they
are inflicted on senior boys (many of the actors are far too old for the parts
they played).
The whole series was
apparently uploaded to YouTube on the EBS channel but it can be difficult to navigate the site.
The series was not intended
for English audiences so as far as I can tell they were never dubbed or
subtitled. This sometimes makes it difficult to follow what’s going on. That
said, it can be fun trying to work out the plot.
In this scene the pupils find
their film-making equipment has been damaged, a fight breaks out, a teacher
walks in … and then it’s sore backsides all round.
