Vicar has a word for the curative cane
When in 1926 a London schoolmaster was acquitted in court of assaulting a pupil he caned, the Rev. D. Morse-Boycott weighed in in support of ‘the widespread return of the corrective power of the cane.’
He says, ‘A youngster who seeks to humiliate his master … obviously deserves all the canings he can be given.
