Comic: Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth was a very strange (also possibly a bit dull?) concept. Sweet Tooth liked sweets and so did Greedy Greg. Sweet Tooth would always have a bag of sweets hidden away somewhere and Greg was always trying to find them. That simple idea ran in Whizzer and Chips comic from 1979 to 1990.

Whizzer and Chips was itself a weekly British comic that ran from October 1969 to October 1990. It was actually two comics, one inside the other. It ran during a period of intense competition in the comics market and a number of other comics merged into it during this time. Eventually, in 1990, it itself merged into Buster. At the same time many comic strips were being moved from title to title, so it became quite confusing to keep track of everything.

Here are a few strips that involved school. Poor Greg is the one who seems to end up on the wrong end of the cane.

And finally, the Whizzer and Chips Annual of 1984.
