Movie: Navy Blue and Gold
Navy Blue and Gold is a 1937 American film about three midshipmen who
join the United
States Naval Academy. One of them, Dick, is tricked into committing a rules
violation by a disreputable upperclassman with a penchant for hazing and is severely
paddled. Even though hazing is forbidden by regulations.
It’s
possible the above outline might make the film seem much more interesting than
it is … but it has historical interest for giving an early role to actor James Stewart.
