Movie: The Frontiersmen
The Frontiersmen, a Western
movie from 1938, stars the (I suspect) long-forgotten character Hopalong Cassidy and
the men of the First Bar 20 ranch. In this extended clip little Archie doesn’t
want to go to school and he doesn’t want to take a bath, with expected
consequences.
Later at school the children tie up their
schoolma’am and lock her in a cupboard. But Hoppy is suspicious. There’s are some
sentimental scenes with the kids singing in the schoolroom trying to cover up
their misdeeds. But this being a Western, the bad guys get found out. The two
horseshoes Archie has put in the back pockets of his jeans are of no use ...
