Getting up late, not attending school, arriving late – the catalogue of misdeeds is long and the “boy” in the latest in our Dads Who Care series must be punished.

So, he finds himself spread-eagled across the dining table for a dose of the leather strap over the seat of his jeans. “You can grunt all you want,” says Stephen of Just Magic as he lays it on with gusto.

Needless to say, the jeans soon come down.
