TV comedy: This Time With Alan Partridge
Here’s a comedy sketch that is both funny and serious (but
not in equal measure.) This Time
with Alan Partridge is a British television comedy series which began in
2019 on BBC television. It stars Steve
Coogan as the inept broadcaster Alan
Partridge in a spoof of current affairs programmes such as The One Show and
Good Morning Britain.
Alan returns to his former school and discusses corporal
punishment. Playing a demented PE
teacher he demonstrates the correct way to land a slipper across a backside,
using a dummy that looks suspiciously like a naked boy.
