TV comedy: Not the Nine O’clock News
You’re eighteen years old and it’s your last day of
school. Unexpectedly you are called to the headmaster’s study. You’ve been at
school for five years
Then with trepidation you hear him say, “I’ve never
had the opportunity to spank your bottom.”
Oh no! You’re trapped inside a sketch from the BBC
comedy Not
the Nine o’clock News!
The headmaster is played by Rowan Atkinson (now
a global star as Mr Bean)
and Griff Rhys Jones
is the boy.
It was originally broadcast in 1980 (series two,
episode six, if you must know).
It might touch a sore spot for some people ....

Hilarious stuff 🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteWas just thinking ...... it’s a pity this didn’t follow through to an actual caning scene 😉
ReplyDeleteThere is another comedy clip I’ve been trying to find. It is something like the headmaster telling the boy he is going to cane him and the boy turning round and saying if he tries then he’ll smash his bloody face in (or something like that). I thought it might be Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. Does anyone have a clue what I’m talking about ....?
