TV Drama: Drummonds

 

Drummonds is a largely forgotten (and forgettable?) UK television drama series from the mid-1980s. It was about a boarding school in the 1950s and the problems faced by its headmaster George Drummond (played by Richard Pasco).

It was a traditional school: traditional curriculum, traditional uniform, traditional games and, as this clip demonstrates, traditional discipline.

It was made by London Weekend Television (LWT) and does not seem to be available on cable TV or DVD. I found this clip on YouTube.
