Studio: CP Services, London

 

Welcome to the first of an occasional series looking at some of the studios that have produced videos featuring adult traditional school discipline.

I’m kicking off with one of my all-time favourites: CP Services, London. This was run by Keith who converted a room at his home in the East End of London into a headmaster’s study. He offered punishment services and also separately produced videos from his home.

I think his health deteriorated and he gave up the business in about 2013. This week I found a tweet on Twitter from September 2013 saying Keith had retired and Andrew was to take over. But, all has been quiet since.

Let’s celebrate what we do have.

Keith had a number of regular “boys” visit his study. Probably chief among these was Simmons, who could be the naughty schoolboy spread-eagled across the desk or the stern Head Boy, as the occasion demanded.

The thing I liked most about Keith’s videos were their very simplicity. First there might be a knock on the study door. “Come in!” A naughty “boy” enters. “Who sent you here?” “Matron, sir.” Then without too much fuss we get down to the action.

If it was night time, the “boy” might be dressed in pyjamas. “Take down your pyjama bottoms. What’s this? Y-fronts? You don’t wear Y-fronts with pyjamas.” So they come down too.

Another regular visitor was Phillips, who was also known as Mark. (I wrote about him here.) He was quite the incorrigible rogue and often found himself touching toes for a swift Six from the headmaster’s cane.

For more serious offences, he would be over the back of the armchair, with his pyjama bottoms at his ankles. Note, here is another “boy” who thinks he can wear Y-fronts as a little extra protection against the cane.

Some of Keith’s visitors were not so incorrigible as Phillips and Simmons. As far as I can tell they only offered up their bottoms the one time. Proof perhaps that a sound caning does work (at least sometimes).

Of course, the headmaster was a kind soul at heart. Not every “boy” deserved a caning. Sometimes, a trip across the knee would suffice. Even if that did mean a spanking with the slipper on the bare bottom.

Occasionally, a “boy” might need an extra reminder about his behaviour – so after a caning, he’d also go across the knee.

Towards the end, Keith introduced two new “boys”, Andrews and Harrison, who looked to be stars in the making.

But, then it all went blank and CP Services, London, disappeared from our lives.

To show the simplicity and the excellence of Keith’s work, here is something of a masterpiece. It is called Trouble in Prep. There is no background story, except that the title alerts us that the four “boys” have been misbehaving, instead of studying. The headmaster marches them to his study and lines them up outside.

Then one by one they are called in. “Bend over. Touch your toes.” Whack-whack-whack-whack-whack-whack. “Stand up. Send in the next boy.”

It really is as simple and authentic as that.

This is by way of a tribute to Keith and CP Services, London. It would be a great shame if these works of art were lost completely.
