Movie: The Bugler’s Call

 The Bugler’s Call is a 15-minute short film made in Australia in 2018. “When two schoolboys are summoned to the headmaster’s study at a private school in 1960 to be caned for their interest in girls, it’s war... and they must face their predicament as soldiers” – so says the blurb for the film.

The headmaster uses a (possibly) unique “dual-swing method” to cane both “boys” at the same time.

It was written and directed by David Castle and made by Tep-Eye Films. It’s hard to describe without using the word “bonkers” at least once. You can see the film for free online here.

Just to confuse matters the same script was made into a film called The Bugle’s Call in 2013 by different producers.
